Terms of Service

Last updated 10 October 2026

TasPod is in a public test. Features may change, stop working or be removed, and the service may be paused or closed. During the test, data stored in TasPod can be lost or deleted without warning, so keep your own copy of anything important and do not rely on TasPod as your only backup.

1. The basics

TasPod is a file storage, sharing and transfer service run by Tas Group LLC, a company organized in Wyoming, USA ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us whenever you use the TasPod website, apps, API or any link created with TasPod. The Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal data and forms part of this agreement.

Only adults aged 18 or over may use TasPod, including to open a link someone sends you. If you use TasPod for a company or other organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" then includes that organization.

2. Your account

  • Give a working email address that belongs to you and keep it up to date. We send security, billing and service messages there.
  • Keep your password and any authenticator codes to yourself. Each account is for one person; do not share it.
  • You are responsible for what happens through your account, your API keys and the links you create. If you think someone else has got in, change your password and sign out your other sessions from the account page straight away, and tell us at [email protected].
  • One free account per person. Opening extra accounts to get around storage or transfer limits is not allowed.

3. Files you store and share

Everything you upload remains yours. We claim no ownership of it, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it.

To run the service we have to handle your files: store them, make copies for reliability, check them for malware, make previews and thumbnails, and deliver them to the people you share them with. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free permission to do these things, only as far as needed to run, secure and improve TasPod and to follow the law. This permission ends when the files are deleted from our systems, apart from copies we must keep under section 9 or by law.

Files and folders you delete go to the recycle bin, where you can restore them for 14 days. After that they are erased permanently, unless they are part of a report or appeal that is still open.

When you share a link, anyone who has it can use it within the limits you set (password, expiry, download count). You decide who gets your links, and you are responsible for that choice.

You confirm that you have the right to store and share what you upload, and that doing so does not break anyone else's rights or any law.

4. What is not allowed

  • Malware, phishing pages or anything meant to harm people, their devices or their data.
  • Child sexual abuse material. We remove it and report it to the authorities.
  • Content that is illegal where you are or where our servers are, or that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights.
  • Harassment, threats, or sharing someone's private information or intimate images without their consent.
  • Spam: using TasPod emails, transfers or links to send messages people did not ask for.
  • Probing, scanning or testing our systems for weaknesses without our written permission, or getting around limits, access controls or link protections.
  • Automated or heavy use that slows TasPod down for others, or reselling TasPod as a hosting or file-delivery service without our written agreement.
  • Helping or encouraging anyone else to do any of these things.

5. How we enforce the rules

We do not read your files as a matter of course. Every upload is automatically scanned for malware and checked against lists of known harmful files before anyone can download it. We look at specific content when someone reports it, when our systems flag it, or when the law requires.

If something breaks these terms we may remove it, disable links, limit features or suspend the account, and we report illegal material where the law requires. We keep security records, including IP addresses, for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy. When we take something down or restrict an account after a report, we email the owner with the reason, and the owner can appeal once within 30 days through the link in that email; a person who did not take the first decision reviews it. Every shared page has a "Report abuse" link, and reports can also be emailed to [email protected].

6. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on TasPod infringes your copyright, email a notice to [email protected] with: your name and contact details; the work you say is infringed; the TasPod link where the material is; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

We act on valid notices, usually by disabling the link. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send us a counter-notice with the same kind of details. We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

7. Organizations and Team Spaces

On the Business plan an organization can create Team Spaces and invite members. The organization's owners and admins control those spaces: they can add and remove members, change roles, and see, move or delete files stored in a Team Space. Files in your personal My Files stay under your control. If you join an organization, follow its rules as well as these terms. The organization that pays for the plan is responsible for its members' use of it.

8. Plans, payment and cancellation

  • Plans. The Pricing page lists each plan's price, storage and transfer limits. The Free plan costs nothing; Plus, Pro and Business are paid.
  • Billing. Paid plans are charged in US dollars, in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Stripe handles payment; we never see or store your full card number. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where the law requires.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time with "Manage billing" on your account page. Your paid plan then runs until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed.
  • Refunds. Payments are not refundable, except where the law where you live gives you a right to one, or where section 9 says otherwise.
  • Missed payments. If a payment fails we email you and try again for a short time. If it is still unpaid, your account moves to the Free plan. We do not delete your files because of this, but while you are over the Free plan's storage you cannot upload more until you upgrade again or free up space.
  • Price changes. We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price rises for your plan. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice; you can cancel before then.

9. Leaving TasPod, or being removed

You can stop using TasPod whenever you like. You can delete your account from the account page. Your share links, file requests and transfers stop working at once and you are signed out everywhere, but the account and its files are kept for 7 days in case you change your mind: use the link in the email we send, or sign in and choose "Keep my account". After 7 days everything is deleted for good and cannot be recovered. Download anything you want to keep first, and use "Download my data" on the account page for a copy of your account information.

We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms, if keeping it open would put other people, the service or us at real risk, or if the law requires. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you by email first and give you a chance to fix the problem or download your files. We may act without warning for serious breaches, such as malware, child abuse material or attacks on the service, or where the law stops us from warning you.

If we decide to close TasPod altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice where we can, so you can download your files, and we will refund any part of a prepaid plan that you could not use.

10. TasPod's software and name

The TasPod name, logo, website, apps and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use TasPod as these terms allow. You may not copy, change or reverse-engineer our software except where the law allows it regardless of this restriction. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. No promises about availability

We work to keep TasPod running and your files safe, but we provide the service as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises, stated or implied, that TasPod will be uninterrupted, free of errors or suitable for any particular purpose, or that no data will be lost. This matters especially during the public test. Some countries do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Otherwise, to the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data; and our total liability to you for all claims about TasPod is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim, or US$50, whichever is more.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the protections consumer law gives you, and we remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to provide the service with reasonable care and skill.

13. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem with TasPod, please write to us first at [email protected], describing the issue and what you would like us to do. We will try to sort it out with you, and either of us may go to court if we have not settled it after 60 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Court cases about these terms or TasPod will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and both of us accept their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of your country or your right to bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TasPod or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, for example because it reduces your rights or changes what you pay, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change starts; if you have a prepaid plan, we will refund the unused part. Continuing to use TasPod after a change takes effect means you accept it.

15. Other legal points

  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about TasPod. A separate written agreement signed by both of us takes priority where it says so.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies, and that part is applied as closely as the law permits.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else. We may transfer it to a company that takes over TasPod, and we will tell you if that happens.
  • Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside reasonable control, such as power or network outages, natural disasters or actions of authorities.
